A pre-season spare-parts review

A pre-season purchasing review should expose missing approved parts and documentation before the fleet is busy. It is a stock and maintenance-planning exercise, not a substitute for operator inspection.

The purchasing decision

Count serviceable stock by model and revision, identify pending maintenance and review replenishment lead times. Prioritize items that block a documented service task. Keep quantities adjustable when actual field consumption differs from the forecast.

Keep these records

  1. Serviceable stock count.
  2. Maintenance task requirements.
  3. Purchase priorities and delivery dates.

Give each record an owner and a revision or date. If a supplier proposes a different part or test condition, record it as an exception for review before treating the quotation as equivalent.

Turn the review into a sourcing request

Start with the linked component checklist, add the actual platform and part identity, and state quantity, destination and timing. List unresolved requirements explicitly so the first discussion can focus on those gaps.
