Fluid filters and strainers
Filter selection must fit both the fluid path and the service procedure. Mesh identification, housing geometry and replacement seals should be ordered together.
What to specify
Use these fields to describe your requirement. Values are supplied by the buyer or the responsible integrator; this reference does not list an in-stock SKU or a universally compatible replacement.
| Requirement | Information to include |
|---|---|
| Housing | Platform and filter-body reference |
| Element | Mesh/filtration specification |
| Flow | Required flow and pressure conditions |
| Fluid | Material compatibility |
| Seals | Seal material and dimensions |
| Service | Cleaning or replacement requirements |
Sample and acceptance review
Request element identification and a sample fit in the existing housing. Record the approved cleaning and inspection instructions.
A common purchasing mistake
Matching the outside size does not establish the same filtration or pressure performance.
Related purchasing decisions
Specify a filter replacement and its service method
The filter element, housing and seals form a service assembly. A change in mesh or material may alter what the operator expects from the fluid path.
